Sunday July 17, in the village of Tuno, Diplahan, province of Zamboanga Sibugay police nabbed two known drug personalities, one of whom was wounded in a shootout during a drug bust around 8:30 p.m. that day.

Arrested suspects in the drug bust were identified as Richie Aseñero, 28, and Ricky Saga, 34, both residents of the village of Gaulan, Diplahan town.

“These two suspects have already surrendered to the police in Diplahan in relation to the nationwide campaign against illegal drug activities dubbed as “Oplan Tokhang” but resumed to prohibited operations few days after”, Senior Superintendent Romulo Cleve Taboso, Zamboanga Sibugay Police Director said.

Taboso added that Aseñero pulled a handgun prompting one of the operating personnel to shoot him once hitting his feet. He was then taken to the Wilfredo Palma Memorial Hospital for medical treatment while Saga was detained at the police headquarters.

Aseñero was listed as top four in the drugs watch list of the police in Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay. Drug personalities were referred to either pushers or users of prohibited drugs.

A home-made .38 caliber revolver with four live ammunitions and four sachets of crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu" was recovered from Aseñero by the police.

In another operation, the police elements of Titay Municipal Police Station arrested Jessie Magno, 40 years old, resident of same place in a drug buy-bust operation conducted at Purok Malinawon, Barangay Poblacion, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay on July 15, 2016.

The said person has already surrendered before and is in the drug watch list of Titay Municipal Police Station.

Recovered from his possession and control were one big heat plastic sachet containing white crystalline believed to be shabu, one small heat plastic sachet containing white crystalline believed to be shabu, two rolled aluminum foil and one unit cellular phone samsung.

Suspect is temporarily detained at Titay Municipal Police Station lock for proper disposition.

Still in another joint personnel operation of Diplahan Municipal Police Station led by Police Inspector Jimmy Albert Decin,OIC and the Provincial Anti-illegal Drugs-Sibugay Operating Unit (ZSB PAIDU-SOU) conducted a buy-bust operation at Barangay Butong ,Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay resulting to the arrest of Jason Taghoy Jumawid, 18 years old, married, a resident of Purok Matinabangon, Barangay Poblacion, Malangas on July 17.

The police confiscated from his possession one big sachet containing crystalline substance believed to be “shabu”.

The suspect is detained at the said station while charges are prepared for violation of RA 9165.

Report On Mauling Incident

Elements of Diplahan Municipal Police Station received a call from the barangay chairman of Poblacion, Diplahan, ZamboangaSibugay. Reporting that in the evening of July 15, a certain Aurelio Martinez, 61 years old, farmer, was found lifeless at a grassy portion of Purok Silang of the same barangay.

The said station responded immediately the aforesaid incident and brought the victim to Wilfredo Palma Memorial Hospital.

Martinez pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician due to multiple head injuries.

An initial investigation conducted by Diplahan MPS finds that the victim was waylaid by a certain Jerry Delima Adlaon, 30 years old and a resident of same the place.

The suspect allegedly hit him with a hard object as a result the victim sustained multiple head injuries.

In the morning of July 16, the police of Diplahan MPS led by Police Inspector Jimmy Albert A. Decin, OIC, conducted a hot pursuit operation and arrested Adlaon.

Adlaon was apprised of his constitutional rights, miranda warning and anti-torture law and was immediately brought to Diplahan MPS for filing of appropriate charges.

Report On Hacking Incident

A hacking incident transpired at Barangay Mabini, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay in the afternoon of July 17 police reports said.

In the report one Paulino Dingcol Y Gontinas, 35 years old was hacked/stabbed by a certain Jimmy Dela Cruz Y Mamintao, 32 years old, all are resident of Barangay Mabini

.

The initial investigation of the Titay MPS disclosed that Mamintao while cooking at their home, Gontinas who under the influence of liquor arrived at the residence and challenged the suspect to fight.

The Mamintao allegedly advised the Gontinas to go home. After awhile Gontinas returned at their residence bringing an ice pick and stabbed Mamintao hitting the shoulder prompting him to get his bolo and hacked/stabbed the Gontinas.

Gontinas sustained hacked wound at his right under arm and was immediately brought to ZamboangaSibugay Provincial Hospital for immediate medical treatment.

Mamintao was subsequently arrested by the responding police and was put under the custody of Titay Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Report On Stabbing Incident

The police of Buug Municipal Police Station, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay responded to a call wherein a stabbing incident transpired on the afternoon of July 17.

The arrested suspect was identified as Alberto Nuñez Beltran, 29 years old, male, married, a labourer by occupation and a resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Compostela, Buug, ZSP. The victim on the other hand was identified as Ronald Taladro Bonite, 25 years old, single, labourer by occupation of Becada Copra buyer and a resident of Brgy. Canawan, Salug, ZDN

According to initial investigation conducted about 4:45 o’clock in the afternoon of that day Bonite was having a drinking spree with Beltran. Without any apparent reason Beltran stabbed Bonite using a kitchen knife hitting him at his right clavicle (collarbone) and at the right side abdomen.

Bonite was able to evade the second attack and ran away from the suspect Beltran pursued him with weapon in hand. Fortunately PO3 Opada was on the area and subsequently apprehended the suspect.

Both parties were brought to Buug MPS for proper disposition and filing appropriate charges against the suspect.

Report On Arrest Of Wanted Person

In a joint manhunt operation conducted by the police of Payao Municipal Police Station and PIB one of the top three most wanted personalities of Payao MPS was arrested.

The arrested person is identified as Rey Inion Y Diansing, 38 years old, married and a resident of Sampoli B, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

By virtue of the warrant of arrest with a criminal case no. IM-14-0665 for murder, issued by Hon. Josefino P. Bael, Presiding Judge of RTC 9th Judicial Region, branch 31, Imelda, ZSP, with no bail recommended, Diansing was arrested in the operation conducted at Barangay Sampoli B, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay in the morning of July 17, 2016.

The arrested suspect was brought to Payao MPS for proper deposition prior turned – over to the court concerned.
