Heated Argument Led to Shooting of a Friend

After a heated argument that transpired during a drinking spree, man shots his friend with a calibre .45 in Titay, Z

amboanga Sibugay.

The suspect, identified as Rey Paglinawan Tome, 40 years old, a resident of Barangay San Antonio of the said town was drinking with the victim named Rolly Santos Daguio, 27 years old and a resident of Barangay Bangko, same town.

Initial investigations said that the two were having a drinking spree around 6:55 in the evening of August 7 at Tome’s place. An argument arose and without hesitation Tome pulled out the gun and shot Daguio, hitting him at the right side of his waist.

Responding police officers arrested Tome and brought him to the station for filing of appropriate charges while Daguio was brought to a hospital in Ipil town for medication.

Recovered from Tome’s possession were one para-ordance calibre .45 and an inserted magazine with three ammunitions.
