Zamboanga Cop Linked to Protecting Illegal Drugs Transferred to Sibugay

One of the policemen who were tagged by President Rodrigo Duterte as “protectors” or involved in the illegal drug trade from Zamboanga City was transferred to Zamboanga Sibugay, Superintendent Luisito Magnaye, Zamboanga City Police Officer-in-Charge said.
PO1 Omar Juaini was transferred to Zamboanga Sibugay as announced by Magnaye after Ma. Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, mayor of the city instructed him to conduct an immediate investigation on all policemen who were tagged as involved in the trade of prohibited drugs.
The names of the other policemen who were tagged by President Duterte as “protectors” are Chief Inspector Ibrahim Jambiran, PO1 Rommel Mansol and SPO1 Joel Valdez.
Magnaye said that Jambiran was transferred to Tacloban City while Mansol in Zamboanga del Norte.
Valdez, on the other hand, has already retired from the service but surrendered to Superintendent Nonito Asdai, Police Station 6 chief, through Project Tokhang, according to Magnaye.
He said Valdez was advised to report to the Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula before reporting to PNP Director-General Ronald Dela Rosa.
