Village Official Killed by Gunmen

A village official was shot to death by gunmen outside his ancestral home evening of August 21.

Police identified the victim as Ben Hassier Midel Anduhol, 46 years old and a resident of Doña Aurora, Poblacion, Ipil town.

Anduhol is a barangay kagawad of Magdaup, same town and according to police records had voluntarily surrendered as drug pusher in line with the PNP’s Oplan Double Barrel program.

According to the victim’s wife, Juvy Eboho Samillano-Anduhol, 50 years old, her husband was outside their home when she heard multiple gunshots. Seconds later Ben called-out to her for help. When she ran out, Ben is on the ground bathing in his own blood.

Anduhol was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Police said that Anduhol sustained five gunshot wounds resulting to his death. Recovered in the crime scene were five empty shells and one slug of a calibre .45.

Police investigations are yet to identify the suspects. (KAVM)
